Wildflower hikes are a thing in Colorado. However, picking the flowers is not. So my art aims to replicate the surprise bursts of color that makes your heart sing when you unexpectedly stumble upon a field of flowers.

Just as in the wild, the shapes and forms simply cannot be contained, so I design and laser cut custom birch line-art frames for each piece to bring a surprise factor to your home or gallery wall.

So I am expanding the Colorado Wild collection to include moths, butterflies, bees and other pollinators.

ABOUT THE ART

I use the only most lightfast inks and colors commercially available, but please note that alcohol inks are not archival, so pieces cannot be located outside or in direct sunlight. Fortunately, plants climb skyward, reaching for the sun, which means my work has been intentionally designed to brighten up empty, dark corners and add unexpected art to the skinniest of spaces. Each piece has been finished with multiple layers of UV-protection, but please avoid placing in direct sunlight to preserve vibrancy of the colors.

Each piece is an original work, as the unpredictability of alcohol inks is part of their appeal. Use of a large format laser cutter allows uniformity and the ability to scale pieces up in size. Feel free to request custom colors on any piece you see.
